Hey there, I’m Meg, the sole brand & web designer of Velevate Design. If you know me I’m always talking about your brand message and why it’s important. In this post I am going to talk about what your brand message is and why it’s essential for your business. Most importantly, you will find out how you can use it in your marketing strategies.
You attract your audience through the message you broadcast through your online presence. If your business isn’t communicating the right message, then you won’t connect with the right people. And if you aren’t connecting with the right people, you miss out on all those potential customers.
Let’s say you have 10,000 followers on your business instagram. 10,000 followers on instagram is an amazing feat to accomplish as a small business owner. The problem is, if your engagement is only 2.5%, then you aren’t connecting with your ideal client. 250 people are engaging with your content, but you are missing out on the other half. With a unique brand message, you can reach your target audience and gain more customers.
Copying marketing strategies with the same type of content isn’t going to work on its own. If you copy your competitor, you won’t stand out, and you won’t reach your ideal audience. You need to develop your own unique voice that you can speak through everything you create. If you amplify your message through everything you do, you’ll attract your ideal clients. Overtime, the message you give will resonate with them and they’ll develop trust in your brand.
Soon, your audience will start thinking about how they can service your brand by buying from you.
When you are talking to your ideal client, you want to make sure you are talking to one person. When you use “you” instead of “they” your audience can connect on a personal level with your content and your voice. They feel like you are talking to them specifically, which will build trust in your brand. When content creators don’t speak directly to their audience, there’s a disconnect. When you aren’t connected to your audience, they won’t want to buy from you. So make sure you talk to only your ideal client.
Another tip is to use language and visuals that resonate with your ideal client. Brand and market research can tell you how to connect with your audience. You have to be in tune with your potential customers and their needs so you can convert them into followers.
When you invest in your brand message you can establish the foundations of your marketing strategies. From experience, I know that if you don’t have a brand message, you aren’t going to have successful marketing. So think about what your brand message is, and how you can use it in your marketing.
